Our tailors have years of experience in creating and constructing bespoke Suits. In addition, we deliver flawless alterations using traditional and perfected techniques carried out by hand. Our clients will receive a “factory finish” meaning that any alterations will be unnoticeable; our work will be a perfect match to any original stitch pattern, colour of thread and any other unique detail.
JACKET
PersTailors’ exceptionally skilled Master Tailors can alter your jacket to achieve the perfect fit.
Taking in seams can significantly alter the shape of your jacket for a more flattering fit. Sleeve lengths can also be shortened easily, making sure that the original stitch pattern, thread colour and other detail unique to the jacket are perfectly matched.
The shoulders of your jacket can be narrowed a neater fit or pads can be added to define the shoulders. Other techniques can be deployed to create a dropped shoulder look.
PersTailors are specialists in re-lining of jackets. A worn lining can be replaced with fabric of a similar colour or, for a total refresh of the garment, we can change this to one of your choice. The addition of pockets or other details are possible and, of course, zip replacement or buttons are basic alterations that we are happy to carry out.

Your coat can be altered by one of PersTailors’ expert Master Tailors to achieve an absolutely perfect fit.

Obtaining a more flattering fit can be achieved by taking in the correct seams. This can alter the shape of your coat and the way that it fits you significantly.

PersTailors can shorten sleeve lengths, ensuring that the original stitch pattern, thread colour and other detail unique to the coat are perfectly matched.

DINNER SUIT
There is nothing more flattering to a gentleman’s appearance than well-fitting Dinner Suit. If your Dinner Suit needs to fit you better or if, indeed, the style of fitting is a little dated, PersTailors’ expert team can work with you to achieve the perfect fit.
Dinner Suits which hang off you rather than compliment your body shape can be re-cut by our Master Tailors to appear as if the suit has been bespoke made for your frame.
Our work quality is unparalleled. Every single detail from the original garment is retained / matched including original stitch patterns and thread colour. The end result is a Dinner Suit which fits perfectly without any trace of it having been altered.
TROUSERS
PersTailors in London are highly experienced in making alterations to trousers to achieve the perfect fit. For alterations around the waist, when trousers are too loose or too tight, we can swiftly and easily reduce or increase size via seam adjustment.
A fitting with our Master Tailor is valuable in establishing the perfect fit for your body shape.
We can taper (narrow) trousers either fully or partly to create a particular style of fit according to our client’s preference. The taper can be subtle, or you can think about going for a more drastic change if this is what you require. Trousers are shortened by hand and this means that no stitching will be visible.
We can also replace belt loops with side adjusters if this is a requirement.

PersTailors have an expert specialism in Jeans Alterations and Denim Alterations. The majority of Jeans and Denim garments do, unfortunately, stretch when they have been worn multiple times and can often become “baggy” and loose the fit they had when originally purchased. Our talented tailors and seamstresses can remedy this by carrying out excellent alterations on any type of denim.
PersTailors will discuss and confirm the type of fit you are looking for and how this will compliment your body type and then commence the alteration process to result in a perfectly fitting paid of jeans.
The PersTailors team can carry out simple alterations like hem shortening or more involved alterations like tapering (narrowing) the leg, changing the rise of your jeans, lowering the waistband, taking in or letting out the waist, or completely changing the cut of your jeans. Whatever the alteration is, rest assured that we will ensure that any original stitching and thread colour perfectly matched and you will walk away with (or in!) a beautifully fitting pair of jeans.

SHIRT
PersTailors are leading experts in London in altering and restyling shirts.
There are a variety of options available to alter shirts if you are unhappy with the way that they fit. As well as a general increase or decrease in sizing, our expert tailors are experienced in techniques which can change the shape of your shirt at certain points of the garment for an optimum fit. For example, you may feel the shirt needs to narrow at the waist or that an alteration is needed at the hips or the chest.
Excess fabric which can be irritating and unflattering to the appearance of your physique can also be removed.
Shortening of shirt sleeves is an easy and swift process and sleeves with double cuffs can also be lengthened in many cases (depending on the inlay in the garment left by the original designer). This can be a great way to allow for an exposed cuff at the end of a jacket’s sleeve which can really be a fantastic finishing touch to any formal outfit.
